Dreaming, resting, listening to music and taking care of yourself are also an integral part of the life of both children and adults. After all, just like adults, children sometimes need a break from stressful everyday life. In addition to group, game and creative rooms in kindergartens, quiet areas and opportunities for solitude are also important for toddlers. Here they can spend time in peace, relax and gain energy. Let’s get to know the Snoozelen room as a central shelter:

What is a Snuzelen room? The fancy word “Snoezelen” comes from the Dutch language and combines two English verbs “to sleep” and “to suspend”. Both mean “to fall asleep” or “to fall asleep”. “Snuzelen” rooms are designed to create a special atmosphere for rest and recovery. In the “Snuzelen” room, both children and adults can experience the anxiety of everyday life and enjoy peace and quiet.

The Snuzelen room was created to give children and adults the opportunity to relax and find peace in the modern world. It helps relieve stress, relax muscles and inspire new achievements. Let’s create relaxation zones together and take care of our physical and mental health! 🌿💆‍♂️🧘‍♀️

3 The main elements in the Snuzelen room

If you want to create a Snuzelen room in your facility, we are ready to be your partner and provide support. Are you wondering what equipment is needed for the Snoezelen room? Start with these three key elements:

    1. Special Lighting/Optical play of light is one of the central elements of the Snuzelen room. You can use LED headlights, water columns and light guides, mirror balls to reflect light, light nets or wall lamps. The number of used lighting elements should always depend on the size of the room. The “Snuzelen” room should not be overcrowded under any circumstances. Each light element must have a separate remote control so that their brightness can be adjusted.

    2. Pleasant colors When choosing the color of the Snuzelen room, muted and harmonious colors are important. The walls, ceiling, floor and upholstery of the modules, as well as floor and wall carpets can be made in classic white color or neutral light shades. However, you should not mix the colors too much in the room, as the combination of too many different colors can cause sensory overload.

    3. Comfortable Pillows for Sitting and Lying Comfortable sitting and lying is the motto of the Snuzelen room. To ensure maximum comfort, you can combine various elements: cozy and sheltered corners, playing with various moving objects, water beds, chairs or rugs. The number, location and height depend on how and by whom the Snuzelen room is used.
